What Is the Colour Show? The Colour Show is an annual public event presented by Hailsham Photographic Society, held each March at Hailsham Civic Hall. The show features around twenty Audio Visual presentations, each up to six minutes long, combining photography with music, sound effects, and narration. Subjects range from travel and humour to documentary stories and dramatic landscapes. Each performance lasts just over two hours, including an interval with refreshments. Performances take place over three sessions: Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday evening. The Civic Hall seats up to 200 people and offers excellent sound and high-quality projection. Alongside the show, visitors can view a print exhibition, meet representatives from the supported local charity, and chat with fellow audience members. The Colour Show has been running for over 50 years and is a popular annual fundraiser for both the Society and a chosen local charity, with many people returning year after year.
