Meetings & Season
The Hailsham Photographic Society runs from September to May, meeting on Thursday evenings.
Time: 7.30 pm – approximately 9.30–10.00 pm
Refreshment break: Midway through each meeting
Summer months: Informal outings and photographic walks
Our programme includes lectures from visiting speakers and members, competitions, workshops, and inter-club battles.
(Programme 2025–2026 available separately.)
Competitions
Competitions are open-subject and include:
• Digital images and prints (digital or silver)
• Development and Advanced levels
Additional themed competitions are held throughout the season, including landscape, natural history, set subjects, and panel competitions. Entries are judged by both external judges and Society members.
Learning & Community
One of the Society’s greatest strengths is its supportive and friendly atmosphere. Members regularly share ideas, technical advice, and photographic experiences, particularly during discussion evenings. Whether you need help overcoming a challenge or have skills to share, you’ll find plenty of encouragement and expertise within the group.
Affiliations
We are proud members of:
• Kent County Photographic Alliance (KCPA)
• Sussex Photographic Federation (SxPF)
• Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB)
Exhibitions & Public Shows
Each year the Society produces a public audio-visual presentation:
• Hailsham Photographic Society Colour Show – held annually in March
• Features member-created sequences set to music and narration, supported by our AV team
In addition, a Members’ Print Exhibition is held each June. These popular events help raise funds and support local charities.

Annual subscription (2024–2025): £50.00
Non-members are welcome to get in touch — [click here to access our contact form].
