HOW TO PREPARE PDI IMAGES FOR COMPETITIONS AND A PERSONAL GALLERY

PDI Competitions: TITLE AND IMAGE SIZING POLICY

All digital files are to be submitted in the following format.
PDI files shall be titled in the following manner:
Number_Title_Name
e.g. 01_Canyon_John Smith

The number shall be 01 or 02 depending on the number of images submitted for each competition.  The title of digital images is limited to thirty characters.

The image characteristics shall be:
Mode - RGB colour or greyscale, 8 bits per channel
Colour Space - sRGB

File Type - JPEG or TIFF
Image size - 1600 pixels (maximum width) x 1200 (maximum height)
The title or name must not appear on the image.

The image files shall be provided to the Projected Images Leader on a USB drive (memory stick), CD or sent as email attachments to [email protected]


Web Site Display of Competition and Gallery Images 

The Website Galleries Folder is provided for members to display and share some of their recent images and current projects. Images that are successful in competitions will be displayed on the 'Home' and 'Competition Info' pages.
Please provide images on a USB stick or send as an attachment to the Webmaster at the address shown in the annual programme booklet in a file type as .jpg only and reduce each image to 72ppi.
Images should be sized to a maximum width of 1600 pixels and/or maximum height of 1200 pixels.
Photo titles will be labelled by the Webmaster with the image name. For example tulip.jpg, will be titled "Tulip", and img3021.jpg will be titled "No Title" or left blank. 
The number of images per gallery should not be more than twelve.
