STRONG TROPHY
Panel of Six Prints Once again Keith Donald's past jottings on club members gives us the background to the Strong Trophy. He wrote…. Brian Strong took his photography seriously and each print was a contender for honours in competitions. His interest in music and recording was put to great use in the early Colour Shows at the Summerheath Hall, where he had charge of an amplifier, a battery of reel to reel recorders and a large box of 7 inch reels of tape. Apart from photography Brian had other interests. He became a proficient woodcarver and this pastime eventually replaced photography. Upon leaving the Society Brian presented a carved eye, which he had designed and carved from a small block of hardwood. This splendid Strong Trophy was presented to the club in appreciation of the enjoyment which he and his wife, Anne, derived from their years of membership. |
