WOLF MORRIS CUP

Prints (Advanced) - No Longer Contested
The Wolf Morris Cup was presented to the Society by Dorothy Morris in
memory of her husband Wolf. Dorothy Morris was a leading member of the
Society in 70’s and 80’s. The archives have her down as being Monochrome Group Leader in 1975/1976, which was fitting as the Cup was originally presented as the ‘New Monochrome Cup’ taking over from the Founders Cup. However, once colour photography had become affordable the cup became known as the Wolf Morris Cup. Dorothy Morris also had the honour of being the second woman President of the Society in 1981/1982. Freda Head had beaten her to being the first in 1975/77. It had only taken 21 years!  The Wolf Morris Cup was eventually presented for the best colour or black and white print. The maximum size of the print was 30 cm x 25 cm.
